Trader Names Topstep Among Prior Payouts in Public X Post

On September 30, trader @KatNguyen1974 posted on X that she has previously been paid out by Topstep and Lucid, offering the reference while contesting a two-week interview delay tied to a separate $16,000 payout request at another firm.

The post, directed at @TyTrades03 and @GuardianFutures, centers on a dispute over an interview requirement attached to a $16,000 payout at BlueGuardian. In establishing her track record, the trader states plainly that she has already been paid out by both Lucid and Topstep. That reference is the Topstep-relevant evidence here, a public claim of prior successful withdrawals, posted under her own handle and timestamped on the platform.

The post does not disclose which Topstep account size produced those earlier payouts, which instruments were traded, or over what period the withdrawals occurred. No Topstep payout certificate or amount is included in the message, and the attached image relates to the BlueGuardian dispute rather than to Topstep. Readers should treat this as a trader-attested reference to prior Topstep payouts, not as a documented receipt of a specific Topstep transfer.

“I have been paid out by Lucid and topstep.”— @KatNguyen1974 on X, September 30

Topstep, founded in Chicago in 2012, is one of the longest-running futures prop firms and routes trading through CME Group futures markets. The firm reports a 90/10 profit split, with accounts opened before January 2026 grandfathered to keep 100% of the first $10,000 in profits. Per-request payout caps on new no-activation-fee combines were reduced in April 2026 to the $2,000 to $3,000 range, with a $6,000 cap applying elsewhere in the program.

The useful signal in this post is narrow but real: an active trader, in the middle of a public dispute with a different firm, voluntarily lists Topstep among the prop firms that have paid her. That kind of unsolicited reference, made while the author is trying to establish credibility against another counterparty, is often more informative than a staged testimonial. It is not, by itself, proof of any specific Topstep payout amount or date.
