The short version
We collect the minimum needed to run TraderPayout: your email if you subscribe to the newsletter, your name and message if you contact us, and anonymous traffic data via Google Analytics. We never sell your data. We store it securely. You can ask us to show, correct, or delete what we hold on you at any time by emailing info@traderpayout.com, and we will action it within 30 days.
The short version.
The box above covers the essential. The rest of this page is the long-form version, written so you can actually read it. If anything is unclear or you want us to explain a specific section, write to us.
Who we are.
This site is operated by TraderPayout, an editorial publication registered in Qatar. We act as the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
The site is read worldwide, and we apply different legal standards depending on where our readers are:
- If you are in the European Union, UK, or EEA, your rights under GDPR apply (see section 08).
- If you are in California, your rights under CCPA / CPRA apply (see section 09).
- If you are elsewhere, we still apply the protections in this policy as a baseline standard, regardless of whether local law requires it.
You can contact us about anything privacy-related at info@traderpayout.com.
What we collect.
We try to collect as little as possible. Here is the complete list.
If you sign up to our newsletter, we store your email address and the date you subscribed. That is all. We do not require a name, a phone number, or any other detail.
If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we store your name, email, and the content of your message. We use this only to reply to you.
We use Google Analytics to understand which articles are read and which tools are used. Google Analytics collects technical data: your approximate location (city level, derived from IP), browser type, device type, pages visited, and time spent. This data is used in aggregate and is not used to personally identify you.
Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL) for security and abuse prevention. These logs are not actively reviewed and are deleted after a short period.
When you click an affiliate link (for example, to Apex Trader Funding), a referral identifier is passed to the destination so they can credit us if you sign up. We do not pass any personal data; we only receive aggregate reports about commissions earned.
We do not collect: your trading account credentials, account balances, financial account numbers, government identifiers, or any sensitive personal information. Do not send these to us; we have no use for them and cannot help you with them.
Why we collect it.
Each piece of data above has a single purpose. We do not repurpose data for things you did not agree to.
- Email — to send you the newsletter you signed up for, and to reply when you write in.
- Analytics data — to understand which parts of the site are useful so we can build more of them.
- Server logs — to keep the site online and investigate abuse.
- Affiliate referrals — to fund the editorial work. Our affiliate relationships are disclosed in the footer of every page.
Under GDPR, our legal bases are: consent (for the newsletter and analytics), legitimate interest (for server logs and security), and contract performance (when you write in and we reply to you).
Google Analytics & cookies.
We are transparent about how we use Google Analytics, including its limitations.
Honest disclosure
Google Analytics is currently active on this site. It uses cookies and similar technologies to measure traffic. We do not use it for advertising, retargeting, or personalisation. We do not link Google Analytics data with any other personal information.
If you prefer not to be measured by Google Analytics on any site, you can install the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, which blocks GA across the entire web. We also respect the "Do Not Track" signal sent by some browsers.
Beyond Google Analytics, we do not use:
- Advertising cookies or tracking pixels (no Meta Pixel, no Google Ads, no LinkedIn Insight Tag).
- Cross-site retargeting or fingerprinting.
- Third-party analytics other than Google Analytics.
If we ever add new tracking technology, we will update this page first and notify newsletter subscribers before deploying.
Who we share data with.
The list is intentionally short. We share data only with service providers that help us run the site, each acting under our instructions as a "processor".
We use a third-party email service to send the newsletter and receive contact emails. They store the email addresses on our behalf and do not use them for anything else.
As described in section 05. Data is processed under Google's own privacy policy.
The site is hosted on a standard cloud infrastructure. They process server logs only.
When you click an affiliate link, only the referral identifier travels with you. No name, no email, no personal data.
We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal data with any third party. We do not share data with data brokers, advertising networks, or marketing companies. If we are ever served with a valid legal order requiring disclosure, we will comply with the minimum scope necessary and, where legally permitted, notify the affected user.
How we protect your data.
We follow standard security practices appropriate to the scale of our operation:
- Encryption in transit. The site is served over HTTPS, including this page.
- Encryption at rest. Our email service and hosting provider encrypt stored data.
- Access control. Only the site editors have access to the newsletter list and contact inbox. Access uses strong passwords and two-factor authentication.
- Minimum collection. The most secure data is the data we never collected. We follow data minimisation as a principle.
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever suffer a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users without undue delay, and within 72 hours where GDPR requires it.
Your rights (EU / UK / EEA).
If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or the EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation gives you specific rights over your personal data. We honour all of them.
- Right to access. Ask us what we hold on you and we will tell you, free of charge.
- Right to rectification. If something we hold is wrong, ask us to fix it.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"). Ask us to delete your data and we will, unless we have a legal obligation to retain it.
- Right to restrict processing. Ask us to pause processing your data while we investigate a request.
- Right to data portability. Ask for a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to object. Stop us from processing your data for a specific purpose.
- Right to withdraw consent. Unsubscribe from the newsletter or revoke any consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing.
- Right to lodge a complaint. If you believe we mishandle your data, you can complain to your national supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@traderpayout.com from the address we hold for you. We respond within 30 days. We may ask for additional verification before actioning a deletion or full-access request, to make sure it really is you asking.
Your rights (California).
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you specific rights.
- Right to know. Request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the third parties we shared it with.
- Right to delete. Request that we delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct. Request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt-out of "sale" or "sharing". We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. There is therefore nothing to opt out of, but the right is acknowledged.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. You will continue to receive the same service.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined under CPRA.
To exercise these rights, email info@traderpayout.com and state which right you are exercising. We respond within 45 days, extendable by 45 more days when reasonably necessary. We may verify your identity before actioning requests.
You may also designate an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to written proof of authorisation.
How long we keep your data.
We keep data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, then we delete it.
- Newsletter — until you unsubscribe. Unsubscribed addresses are removed within 30 days.
- Contact form — until the conversation is resolved, plus up to 12 months for our records, then deleted.
- Server logs — short-term retention by our hosting provider, typically a few weeks.
- Analytics — Google Analytics retains aggregated data per the retention settings we configure (default: 14 months for user data, then automatic deletion).
Children.
This site is intended for adults. Trading carries substantial financial risk and is not appropriate for minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please do not subscribe to the newsletter or send us messages. If we discover we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, we will delete it immediately.
If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@traderpayout.com and we will remove it.
International data transfers.
Because we operate from Qatar and our readers are worldwide, your personal data may be transferred to and stored in countries other than your own, including the United States (where Google Analytics processes data) and the European Union (where our email service may be hosted).
When personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission where the transfer involves data of EU/UK residents, and equivalent contractual protections with our other processors.
Changes to this policy.
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at this URL, with the effective date and version number at the top. For material changes (anything that affects what we collect, why, or who we share with), we will:
- Update the "Effective" date and bump the version number at the top of this page.
- Notify newsletter subscribers by email before the new version takes effect.
- Display a brief notice on the home page for at least 14 days.
Minor edits (typos, clarifications, link fixes) are made silently.
Privacy questions, requests, or complaints go to info@traderpayout.com. We read every message, and we respond within the timeframes set out above. If you do not receive a reply within those windows, please follow up — emails do go missing, and a chase is welcome.
