Getting funded at Apex costs the evaluation times the number of attempts you need, plus a one-time activation fee on Standard accounts: $89 to $149 on Intraday, $109 to $159 on EOD. At a 35% pass rate you should expect about three attempts, which is why the plan you pick matters more than the sticker price.
How the calculator works
Two formulas, nothing hidden. The number of attempts you should expect is one divided by your pass rate: at 50%, two attempts; at 25%, four. The activation fee is paid once, after the attempt that passes.
- 01Expected attempts1 ÷ pass rate. At 35%, that is 2.9 attempts on average.
- 02Evaluation spendPrice per evaluation × expected attempts.
- 03ActivationAdded once on Standard accounts. Zero on No Activation Fee accounts.
- 04Expected totalEvaluation spend plus activation: the average cost of reaching a funded account.
An average, not a promise: any single trader can pass on the first try or need more attempts than the average. The model treats each attempt as independent and ignores anything you might gain in skill between attempts.

Cheapest does not mean best: a $25K account has the lowest cost and also the lowest payout ceiling, $6,000 over six payouts.
Standard or No Activation Fee?
A No Activation Fee account costs more per attempt but skips the activation fee. The better deal depends on how many attempts you expect: the more you retry, the more a higher evaluation price costs you. Above the pass rate shown below, No Activation Fee becomes the cheaper plan.

"Never" means Standard stays cheaper at any pass rate. The comparison uses Apex's selector prices of 11 October 2026 and the coupon setting chosen in the calculator.
The 5-pack bundle
Apex also sells five evaluations of the same size and type in one order, at a bundle price shown on its selector. It looks like five retries, but it is not: all five accounts are created at purchase and share the same 30-day window. It suits traders who run several attempts in parallel, not those who want to spread retries over months.
“All accounts in the bundle are created at the time of purchase and share the same 30-day access period and expiration date.”Evaluation Bundle (5 Pack), updated 5 June 2026
Bundle prices are not included in the calculator: Apex shows them only in its selector at checkout. Activation fees are still paid per account.
Four things to know before you buy
One-time fees only.
No monthly rebilling and no reset fees. A failed evaluation is replaced by buying a new one; there are no extensions.
A calendar-day clock.
Each evaluation must be passed within 30 calendar days of purchase. There is no minimum number of trading days.
Activate quickly.
After passing a Standard account, the activation fee must be paid within 7 calendar days to open the Performance Account.
The Safety Net comes first.
Payouts start once your balance clears the Safety Net plus $500: $52,600 on a $50K account.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to get funded with Apex?
At list price, one evaluation costs $167 to $1,190 on Intraday and $490 to $2,190 on EOD, depending on size. A Standard account adds a one-time activation fee after you pass: $89 to $149 on Intraday, $109 to $159 on EOD. Your real cost depends on how many attempts you need.
How is the expected cost calculated?
Expected attempts equal one divided by your pass rate. The expected cost is the evaluation price times expected attempts, plus the activation fee paid once.
What pass rate should I use?
Your own. Apex does not publish pass rates, so base it on your results on similar evaluations. Without a track record, a conservative figure gives a more useful budget.
Is a No Activation Fee account cheaper?
Only above a certain pass rate. It costs more per attempt and saves the activation fee, so it wins when you expect few attempts. At list prices, Standard is cheaper on every size; the break-even with a coupon code is shown in the table above.
Does a coupon code reduce the activation fee?
Not as a rule. Coupon codes discount the evaluation, and the activation fee is paid in full unless Apex runs a limited-time promotion on it.
Does Apex charge a monthly fee?
No. Evaluations are a one-time purchase with no monthly rebilling, and there are no reset fees.
Can I reset or extend a failed evaluation?
No. There are no resets and no extensions. To continue after a failed evaluation, you buy a new one.
What is the Apex 5-pack?
Five evaluations of the same size and type bought in one order at a bundle price. All five share the same 30-day window from the purchase date.
