01 What happened

Two new tools, confirmed by the firm.

Alpha Futures has added two new risk-management tools to its Alpha Trader platform: a one-click breakeven button and an automated lockout feature. Both are live now for all traders and require no manual activation.

The first tool, a "B/E" button built into the order DOM, lets a trader move their stop loss to breakeven instantly once a trade is in profit, removing the need for manual repricing. The second, called Lockout, is a system-level control that stops further trading automatically once a trader hits their own pre-defined loss level, intended to enforce trading-plan discipline without relying on the trader to stop manually in the moment.

Alpha Futures describes both as active immediately upon opening the platform, with no settings changes required.

Comparing risk-management tooling across firms is worth doing anywhere. Apex Trader Funding is another established futures firm worth comparing on documented terms, currently running a discount on evaluation fees.

02 Confirmed

What is confirmed, and what isn't.

Both features, and their described functionality, are confirmed directly by Alpha Futures' own materials, dated 21 August 2026. Alpha Futures' description does not specify whether the Lockout feature's loss thresholds are user-configurable or fixed by account type.

03 Why this matters

Why this matters.

Neither feature changes Alpha Futures' trading rules, drawdown terms, or payout structure. These are tools traders can use within the existing rules, not new rules themselves, useful for anyone who wants automated discipline around locking in profit or capping a bad session, but not something that affects account terms either way. We will update this piece if Alpha Futures clarifies whether Lockout thresholds are configurable.
