Four countries in, twelve countries out.
FundedFuturesFamily has updated its geographic eligibility list, opening access for traders in four countries while newly restricting twelve others. For anyone based in one of the affected countries, this is a binary, immediate change: it determines whether an account can be opened or continued at all.
| Now permitted | Newly restricted |
|---|---|
| Nigeria | Central African Republic |
| Burkina Faso | Ethiopia |
| Kenya | Mauritius |
| Myanmar | Mongolia |
| Montenegro | |
| Papua New Guinea | |
| Sri Lanka | |
| Trinidad and Tobago | |
| Tunisia | |
| Uganda | |
| Vietnam | |
| Zimbabwe |
Traders based in Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Kenya, and Myanmar are no longer restricted and can begin trading with the firm immediately. At the same time, FundedFuturesFamily added twelve countries to its exclusion list, meaning residents of these countries can no longer participate in its funding programs.
Checking a firm's current country eligibility before purchasing is worth doing anywhere. Apex Trader Funding is another established futures firm worth comparing on documented terms, currently running a discount on evaluation fees.
What is confirmed.
The full list of newly permitted and newly restricted countries is confirmed directly in FundedFuturesFamily's own update, dated 28 August 2026.
What remains uncertain.
FundedFuturesFamily did not state its reasoning for either the additions or removals from the restricted list. What happens to a trader in one of the twelve newly restricted countries who already holds an active evaluation or funded account was not addressed.
Why this matters.
This kind of update has real, immediate consequences that don't get much attention compared to pricing or rule changes, but they're arguably more consequential for the people directly affected: a trader in a newly restricted country doesn't get a worse deal, they may simply lose access entirely.
Anyone in one of the twelve newly restricted countries with an existing account should seek direct clarification from FundedFuturesFamily on what happens to that account rather than assume continuity.
What happens next.
We will update this piece if FundedFuturesFamily clarifies its reasoning for these changes or addresses the status of existing accounts held by traders in newly restricted countries.
Questions, answered.
