01 What happened

A big number, and a gap worth noting.

FundedNext announced this week that cumulative trader payouts across its CFD and futures businesses have passed $350 million, with its live reward page showing $352.3 million shortly after. The figure is self-reported and has not been independently audited. A separate on-chain tracker, Capital Critic, currently attributes $225.9 million to FundedNext, about 64% of the company's claimed total.

FundedNext's own announcement states cumulative payouts crossed $350 million, following a rapid climb from the $271.4 million figure the firm disclosed at the end of February, an increase of roughly $80 million in about six months. The firm also states its CFD and futures operations process payouts in an average of four hours, with its reward page separately citing a median of 4.74 hours from request to disbursement, 90% of payouts completed within 12.29 hours, and 99.99% within 24 hours. FundedNext states it pays an additional $1,000 penalty if a qualifying payment takes longer than 24 hours, except when the delay is caused by a trader submitting incorrect details.

Capital Critic's independent on-chain tracker, which records payouts made via RisePay and direct wallet transfers, currently confirms $225.9 million tied to FundedNext, covering a data set that begins in February 2024, nearly two years after the firm launched in March 2022. Over a recent 30-day window, the tracker recorded $11.36 million across 7,515 on-chain FundedNext payouts. FundedNext's own reward page shows more than 229,000 rewards processed since inception; Capital Critic's transaction count, 104,158, represents about 45% of that figure, though differing start dates, payment rails, and counting definitions make a direct transaction-by-transaction comparison difficult.

02 Confirmed

What is confirmed.

FundedNext's own self-reported cumulative payout figure, its processing-time statistics, and the independent on-chain verification figure from Capital Critic are all confirmed and reported directly by Finance Magnates. The gap between the two figures, roughly 36% of FundedNext's claimed total not independently confirmed on-chain, is explicitly acknowledged by Finance Magnates as a function of tracking a different, narrower data set (RisePay and direct wallet transfers only) rather than necessarily indicating the unconfirmed portion is inaccurate.

03 Unresolved

What remains uncertain.

Why the on-chain figure covers only 64% of FundedNext's claimed total, whether due to payout methods outside RisePay and direct wallet transfers, timing differences, or other factors, was not fully resolved in available reporting. FundedNext's own figure has not been independently audited by any third party beyond the partial on-chain corroboration.

04 The stakes

Why this matters.

A large, quickly-growing self-reported payout figure is common marketing material across the prop trading industry, and it's genuinely difficult for a reader to evaluate on its own. What makes this case worth reporting on specifically is that independent, if partial, verification data exists and shows a meaningful gap rather than a close match.

Editorial note

That doesn't mean FundedNext's figure is wrong, payout methods and tracking definitions genuinely differ, but it does mean the headline number shouldn't be treated as independently confirmed simply because a large, specific figure sounds credible.

Frequently asked questions

Questions, answered.

Over $350 million, with the firm's live reward page showing $352.3 million shortly after the announcement.
Partially. An independent on-chain tracker, Capital Critic, confirms $225.9 million, about 64% of FundedNext's claimed total, covering only RisePay and direct wallet transfers.
Not necessarily. The gap likely reflects payout methods and tracking definitions the on-chain tracker doesn't capture, but it does mean the full claimed figure isn't independently confirmed.
