01What happened

One account retired, another made permanent.

FundedNext has pulled Legacy from sale. It's gone from the checkout selector, and its page now redirects to the futures homepage. In its place, Direct has moved from a limited-slot trial to a permanent product sitting alongside Flex and Rapid (Pro and Daily) in FundedNext's futures lineup.

Direct started life as "FNL:003," an experiment from FundedNext Labs sold in capped batches. The October 8 report that this account is now permanent follows the official FundedNext announcement a day earlier, on October 7.

02How Direct works

Funded at purchase, with a tight rulebook.

Direct skips evaluation entirely. A trader buys the account, signs the agreement at checkout, and is funded immediately; KYC is required before the first withdrawal. It's priced at $169.99 at the discounted rate reported, against a $283.99 list price, and comes in a single 50K size, capped at 3 mini or 30 micro contracts. It trades on Tradovate, NinjaTrader, and TradingView, and counts toward FundedNext's standard limits of 5 active funded accounts and 10 new accounts per month.

RuleDetail
Profit split90%, one-time fee, no monthly charges
Max drawdown$2,000 end-of-day trailing, recalculated nightly; locks at $50,100
Daily loss limit$1,000, soft — disables trading for the day rather than breaching the account
Withdrawal buffer$2,100 must clear before a withdrawal; stays in the account
Consistency20%, perpetual — best day over the account's life capped at 20% of the current cycle's profit
Withdrawals$800–$1,200 per cycle, every 5 days, for up to 5 withdrawals
ResetsNot offered — a breached account must be replaced with a new purchase
InactivityA Monday–Friday week with no trades breaches the account

By the source's math, the first payout requires at least $2,900 in profit to clear the $2,100 buffer plus the $800 minimum withdrawal. Across all five withdrawal cycles, the maximum gross payout is $6,000, or $5,400 to the trader after the 90% split.

A hard stop, not a renewable account: Direct closes automatically after its fifth withdrawal. There's no reset path — a trader who breaches the drawdown, daily loss limit, or inactivity rule has to buy a new account to continue, rather than paying a reset fee on the existing one.

03What about existing Legacy accounts

An open question the source doesn't answer.

The source report doesn't state what happens to Legacy accounts traders already purchased before the product was pulled from sale. It expects those accounts to keep running under their existing rules, but that's framed as an expectation rather than something FundedNext has confirmed directly, so traders currently holding a Legacy account should look for the firm's own confirmation rather than assume continuity.

04Why it matters

A narrower, faster product finds a permanent home.

Graduating Direct from a capped experiment to a standing product signals FundedNext sees sustained demand for a no-evaluation account, even with rules tighter than its evaluation-based Flex and Rapid lines, no resets, and a hard five-withdrawal lifespan. Compared with Rapid's 90% split and evaluation step, Direct trades the evaluation for a shorter leash once funded: less room to miss a day's trading, no path to repair a breach, and a defined end point once the fifth withdrawal clears.

Retiring Legacy at the same time suggests FundedNext is consolidating its futures lineup around Flex, Rapid, and now Direct, rather than running four overlapping products side by side.

Frequently asked questions

Questions, answered.

No. Legacy has been pulled from the checkout selector and its page now redirects to the futures homepage. What happens to Legacy accounts already purchased isn't addressed in the source report.

A no-evaluation 50K futures account that funds a trader immediately at purchase. It grew out of the limited-slot FNL:003 experiment from FundedNext Labs and is now a permanent product alongside Flex and Rapid.

A 90% profit split, a $2,000 end-of-day trailing drawdown that locks at $50,100, a $1,000 soft daily loss limit, a $2,100 buffer that must clear before withdrawal, a perpetual 20% consistency rule, and withdrawals of $800 to $1,200 every 5 days for up to five cycles before the account closes.
