No prices, no fills, and the outage isn't Halcyon's own system.
Halcyon Trader Funding confirmed on 31 August 2026 that it's aware of a DXfeed issue currently preventing traders from accessing the market. The firm says its team is working directly with DXfeed to resolve the outage as quickly as possible, but it hasn't given a timeline for a fix.
DXfeed is a third-party market data provider, not something Halcyon operates itself. Halcyon's own documentation describes DXfeed as a premium data feed it offers traders through its Volumetrica platform integration, alongside other supported providers including Rithmic, WealthCharts and Ironbeam. That structure is why the firm is framing this as an external issue rather than a problem with its own infrastructure, though it hasn't published technical detail confirming exactly where in the chain the fault sits.
A feed problem, not a firm-wide problem.
Because Halcyon runs multiple data providers side by side rather than a single feed for every account, an outage isolated to DXfeed would be expected to hit only the traders connected through that specific route. Accounts running on Rithmic, WealthCharts or Ironbeam sit on separate infrastructure and shouldn't be affected by a DXfeed-specific problem, at least based on how Halcyon describes its own setup.
That distinction matters for anyone trying to figure out whether they're personally affected. If a trader chose DXfeed during setup, most likely paired with Volumetrica as their trading platform, they're the ones currently locked out of live prices and unable to place trades until the feed comes back.
Losing your data feed during an evaluation is its own kind of risk.
A data outage isn't just an inconvenience for a funded-account trader. Time-boxed evaluations and reward cycles keep running in the background regardless of whether a trader can see live prices, and a trader sitting on an open position when a feed drops has no way to manage that risk until access returns. Halcyon hasn't said whether it will offer any accommodation, such as extended evaluation windows or exceptions for open positions affected during the outage, for traders caught by this specific incident.
An outage on a third-party feed is still the trader's problem in the moment, whoever is ultimately responsible for fixing it.
What happens next.
The outage was still unresolved as of this writing, roughly seven hours after Halcyon's initial notice. We'll update this piece once DXfeed access is restored and if Halcyon publishes any statement on compensation or extended deadlines for traders affected during the downtime.
