A fixed rule on two products becomes a checkout choice.
Lucid Trading has confirmed directly on its own official X account that the Daily Loss Limit (DLL) is now optional across its Flex, Pro, and Daily accounts. Traders can choose to trade with or without a DLL on each of these products, a genuine change for two of the three: LucidPro previously required a DLL from the 50K account size up, and LucidFlex previously had no DLL option at all. LucidDaily already offered this choice at launch in July 2026.
Lucid Trading's official statement reads plainly: "DLL is now optional at Lucid Trading. Trade Flex, Pro, or Daily accounts with or without DLL." This confirms and extends a report from PropScorer describing the same change, and is consistent with a promotional post from an affiliate account describing DLL toggles now changing price across all three products.
The change affects Flex and Pro most significantly. LucidPro has, until now, carried a mandatory Daily Loss Limit on every account size from 50K upward, a soft breach that locks a trader out for the remainder of the session without ending the account outright. LucidFlex, by contrast, has never had a DLL at all, its absence has been one of the product's three defining, headline features since launch. LucidDaily, launched more recently, already let traders choose DLL on or off at checkout, alongside a choice of evaluation drawdown type. Lucid's announcement effectively extends the Daily-style configurable approach to its other two main products.
Comparing how firms structure risk-management options before choosing one is worth doing anywhere. Apex Trader Funding is another established futures firm worth comparing on documented terms, currently running a discount on evaluation fees.
What is confirmed.
The change itself is confirmed directly by Lucid Trading's own official X account: DLL is now an optional, toggleable setting on Flex, Pro, and Daily accounts. The prior structure, mandatory DLL on Pro, no DLL option on Flex, and configurable DLL already on Daily, is confirmed across numerous independent reviews published in the weeks before this announcement.
| Product | Before | Now |
|---|---|---|
| LucidPro | DLL mandatory (50K and up) | DLL optional |
| LucidFlex | No DLL option | DLL optional |
| LucidDaily | Already configurable | Unchanged |
What remains uncertain.
Lucid's own announcement does not state exact pricing for each DLL configuration. A promotional post from an affiliate account states that toggling DLL changes the price on all three products and cites discounted starting prices under a specific referral code, LucidFlex from $50.30, LucidPro from $70.60, LucidDaily from $65, but these figures reflect a promotional discount rather than confirmed baseline list pricing, and should not be treated as Lucid's standard rates.
Worth being precise about sourcing here: the core change is confirmed directly by Lucid Trading itself. The specific pricing figures circulating come from an affiliate's promotional post, not from Lucid, and should be treated as an illustration of the mechanic rather than a quote of the firm's actual prices.
Why this matters.
For LucidPro traders, this removes a restriction that was previously fixed: a trader can now choose to trade without a daily loss limit, accepting more single-day risk in exchange for not being locked out after a bad session. For LucidFlex traders, the reverse option now exists: a trader who wants the discipline of a daily stop-loss mechanism, previously unavailable on this product, can now opt into one. Framed together with Daily's existing configurability, Lucid's three main products now share a common design philosophy: configure your own risk tolerance at checkout rather than accept a fixed structure per product.
What happens next.
We will update this piece if Lucid Trading publishes specific pricing for each DLL configuration, or if further detail on how the toggle affects other account terms becomes available.
