01 What happened

A dashboard migration told in four parts.

Shark Futures spent the past day moving traders onto a new back office and Trader's Area dashboard, and the rollout didn't happen in one clean step. Over roughly 24 hours, the firm posted four separate updates covering a checkout outage, a completed migration, a list of known bugs, and a mandatory password reset, each addressing a different piece of the same transition.

Read together, the sequence looks less like a single planned cutover and more like a migration that kept surfacing new issues as it went, with Shark Futures posting updates as each piece came online or broke.

02 The migration, in order

What actually happened, and when.

  • First update, ~22 hours before this report

Shark Futures said Volumetrica accounts had migrated successfully, while Tradesea and Rithmic account migration was still in progress and running slightly behind schedule. Checkout was taken offline until the migration finished, though the firm said trading itself wasn't affected and accounts, progress and funded capital were safe.

  • Second update, ~19 hours before this report

Shark Futures announced the website migration was finished and the new Trader's Area was back online. Account status, phase progress and funded status all carried over, but users were told to reset their dashboard password, and Tradesea traders specifically were told they might need support to reset their trading account password too.

  • Third update, ~17 hours before this report

With the new platform live, Shark Futures acknowledged some users could still see temporary issues while systems stabilized: missing payout request displays, Tradesea login recovery requiring an OTP password change, dxfeed logins needing dashboard credentials, and occasional slow performance on Volumetrica.

  • Fourth update, ~17 hours before this report

Shark Futures separately asked all users to change their password via the account recovery page to access the new dashboard, framing it as part of the broader dashboard migration or account transition.

03 What held up

The consistent claim across all four posts.

Every update in the sequence repeats the same underlying claim: trading itself wasn't interrupted, and account status, phase progress and funded capital carried over intact. What broke were the surrounding systems, checkout, password recovery, payout displays, not the trading infrastructure or the money already at stake in active accounts.

A firm can hold its core promise, that funded capital stays safe, while still leaving traders locked out of the dashboard features they'd normally use to check on it.

04 Why it matters

Migrations are where a firm's operational maturity shows.

A back-office and dashboard migration is routine infrastructure work, and most prop firms go through one eventually. What's notable here is less the migration itself and more how visibly it unfolded in public, four separate posts in a day, each layering on new caveats about what traders should expect and do. A trader on Tradesea in particular had to track three different pieces of guidance: a password reset, an OTP-based login recovery step, and a note that support might be needed on top of both.

None of that means the migration was mishandled. It could just as easily reflect a firm being unusually transparent about a messy but ultimately contained process. But for traders relying on the dashboard to check payout eligibility or account status day to day, a stretch where that dashboard is inconsistent is still a real disruption, whatever the underlying capital status.
