Three changes, one weekend.
Shark Futures is carrying out three related operational changes over the same weekend: a full platform migration to a new back office and Trader's Area dashboard, a temporary checkout outage, and a KYC provider upgrade from Veriff to Sumsub.
The platform migration runs from 29 to 31 August 2026, moving Shark Futures to a new back office and Trader's Area dashboard. Traders were required to close all open positions before market close on Friday, 28 August 2026, and everyone will need to reset their password after the migration completes.
Separately, the firm's website and checkout went offline for roughly 40 minutes to support the migration work, pausing new purchases until service resumed. Existing trading remained live until market close during that window, and the firm's SHARK60 promo code remained active throughout.
Shark Futures is also replacing Veriff with Sumsub as its KYC verification provider over the same weekend. New purchases will require immediate KYC before the account is enabled for trading. Existing accounts are unaffected by the KYC provider change.
Comparing how firms handle platform infrastructure and operational transitions is worth doing anywhere. Apex Trader Funding is another established futures firm worth comparing on documented terms, currently running a discount on evaluation fees.
What is confirmed.
The migration dates, the Friday position-closure deadline, the required password reset, the checkout outage, and the KYC provider change from Veriff to Sumsub are all confirmed via dated reports on PropScorer's live feed.
What remains uncertain.
We could not locate a direct statement from Shark Futures on its own official channels detailing these changes beyond the PropScorer reports. What happens to a trader who did not close open positions before the Friday deadline was not addressed.
Why this matters.
Any trader with an open position going into this weekend needed to act on the Friday deadline regardless of whether they saw the announcement in time; a missed deadline going into an active platform migration is a genuinely worse position than a missed deadline under normal circumstances, given the added uncertainty of a dashboard changeover happening simultaneously.
Traders should log in after the migration window closes to confirm their account, balance, and any open positions carried through correctly, and reset their password as required.
What happens next.
We will update this piece once the migration window closes and if Shark Futures reports any issues affecting trader accounts during the transition.
Questions, answered.
