A real course, and a manufactured reaction to it.
Take Profit Trader has launched a free beginner course on futures prop trading, eight short video lessons plus two bonus chapters, 82 minutes total, no credit card required. That part is straightforward and independently confirmed directly from the firm's own course page.
What is not straightforward is how the course's reception got reported. The Prop Wire, an independent prop-firm news outlet, published a piece on 20 July 2026 describing "roughly 32 posts over four days" of trader discussion about the course on X, and named a specific post as its source. That post, and at least two others carrying identical creative and near-identical scripted copy, are explicitly labelled "Paid partnership." The single post cited as evidence of organic trader reaction was, itself, paid promotion.
Take Profit Trader's course itself is confirmed directly from the firm's own landing page: eight short video modules covering futures basics, contract structure, position sizing, and account setup, plus two bonus chapters on placing a first trade. Take Profit Trader is exclusively futures-focused, CME, COMEX, NYMEX, and CBOT-listed products only, based in Windermere, Florida.
On 20 July 2026, The Prop Wire published an article describing the course launch alongside a claim that Take Profit Trader "has been generating discussion on X this week, with roughly 32 posts over four days." The piece cited a single post, from the account @TradingSynHQ, as its source.
That post, timestamped 5:00am on 19 July 2026, carries an X-applied "Paid partnership" label. It uses a templated graphic captioned "Trading for Beginners: Start Here," with icons reading "Complete in 82 Minutes," "100% Free," "8 Short, Practical Lessons," and "No Credit Card Required," and scripted copy describing Take Profit Trader as offering something that sets it apart from "the typical prop firm experience." The link in the post routes through a referral code.
Two further posts, from @MarketMakerSins (11:00pm on 19 July) and @TplusTwoHolding (1:00am on 19 July), use the identical graphic and near-identical scripted copy, and both are also labelled "Paid partnership." All three link through referral-coded URLs, consistent with a coordinated paid promotional campaign distributed across multiple accounts, not independent traders spontaneously discussing something they noticed.

Third-party coverage
What is confirmed.
The course itself is real and matches its own description exactly: eight short video lessons plus two bonus chapters, 82 minutes, free, no credit card. Take Profit Trader is confirmed futures-only. The firm's own materials disclose a 16.86% pass rate for its Trading Test in 2024, a specific, dated disclosure that most prop firms do not publish. Two features mentioned in coverage of the course are independently confirmed: there is no scaling plan on PRO accounts, traders can trade the full size their test account allowed immediately, and PRO accounts can be reset up to three times.
At least three X posts promoting the course, including the specific post The Prop Wire named as its source, carry X's own "Paid partnership" disclosure label, use identical creative, and use near-identical scripted copy. This is confirmed directly from the posts themselves, not inferred.
What remains uncertain.
How much of the "32 posts" figure is paid versus organic
Three posts have been directly confirmed as paid so far, including the one cited as the article's source. The true proportion across all 32 posts The Prop Wire referenced has not been checked post by post, and we do not claim to know it. What can be said is that the one post specifically relied upon as evidence is not organic.
Whether The Prop Wire was aware the source it linked was a paid placement is a separate, genuinely open question. This looks more consistent with an oversight than a deliberate choice, a "Paid partnership" label is easy to miss when skimming a post for its content rather than its disclosure tag. We are not alleging bad faith. The issue is the outcome: a sponsored campaign got reported as evidence of independent trader reaction.
Two claims worth a closer look on their own terms
"Same-day withdrawals" is accurate but incomplete as commonly stated. PRO account withdrawals are available from day one, but only once a trader's balance clears a "buffer zone" equal to the account's maximum drawdown, unless the trader has been upgraded to the invite-only PRO+ tier, which has no buffer requirement. Separately, Take Profit Trader's own marketing describes its reset option as "an industry first," a superlative claim from the firm itself that we could not independently verify and that other firms in the sector also offer in some form.
Why this matters.
For traders evaluating the course, the actual product is a legitimate, verifiable free resource, worth judging on its own content rather than on how much organic enthusiasm surrounds it, since a meaningful share of that apparent enthusiasm turns out to be paid.
For the wider industry, this is a useful, concrete example of a pattern worth watching for generally: paid promotional campaigns, correctly disclosed by the platform itself, can still get miscounted as organic signal once they reach secondary coverage. The disclosure worked exactly as intended at the point of posting. It broke down at the point where that post got cited as evidence of something it was not.
Separating the product from the promotion is worth doing generally, not just here. Our Apex Trader Funding review breaks down rules, payouts, and platform support on their own terms.
What happens next.
We will update this piece if The Prop Wire responds regarding its sourcing, or if further checking of the remaining posts referenced in its "32 posts" figure changes the overall picture.
Questions, answered.
