Apex Trader Funding tradable instruments full list
01 Equity index futures

The most heavily traded category on Apex.

Equity index futures track major stock market indices and are the most commonly traded instruments across Apex accounts, largely because of their liquidity and consistent volume throughout the trading session.

Gold trading on Apex has previously been suspended for periods of unusual volatility and later reinstated. If you plan to trade metals specifically, checking current status before relying on the instrument is worth the extra step. The suspension and where metals availability stands now are covered in the Apex vs Tradeify comparison.

06 Cryptocurrency futures

Yes, but only two specific contracts.

Apex does support cryptocurrency futures, directly answering a question that comes up often. The catch is that only two specific contracts are supported, and they are the micro versions specifically.

Micro EthereumMETCME$0.46$0.92
Do not trade the standard mini contracts

Apex's own instrument list carries an explicit warning: do not trade the standard mini Bitcoin or mini Ethereum contracts, since only the micro versions, MBT and MET, are supported. Attempting to place an order on the unsupported mini contracts results in a rejected order, the same rejection behavior that applies to any instrument outside your approved list.

07 Checking your own available list

What happens if you trade something unsupported, and how to check first.

If you attempt to place an order on an instrument that isn't authorized for your account, the order is rejected before it reaches the market. There is no penalty and no impact on your account standing for the rejection itself, the trade does not execute.

Select View Risk Parameters to see the full list of active products currently enabled for your account.

Missing something you need?

If a necessary instrument is missing from your available list, you can submit a help desk ticket to Apex requesting its addition. This does not guarantee approval, but it is the correct channel to raise the request rather than assuming the instrument is unavailable.

One historical note worth knowing: ICE US products were removed from Apex's supported instrument list as of March 2024 and have not returned. If you traded ICE products with Apex in the past, they are no longer available on the current instrument catalog.

08 Platform differences

Rithmic, Tradovate, and WealthCharts don't always match exactly.

The core instrument categories are broadly consistent across all three Apex platforms, but exact commission rates and specific instrument availability can differ by platform. Always check the instrument list specific to the platform your account is on rather than assuming full parity between them. The full breakdown of how the three platforms differ beyond just instruments, covering setup, drawdown lock behavior, and trade copier support, is in the Apex platform comparison guide.

Yes, but only two specific instruments: Micro Bitcoin futures (MBT) and Micro Ethereum futures (MET), both traded on CME. Apex explicitly warns not to trade the standard mini Bitcoin or mini Ethereum contracts, since only the micro versions are supported. Attempting to trade the unsupported mini contracts results in a rejected order.
The order is rejected before it reaches the market. There is no penalty and no impact on your account for the rejection itself, the trade does not execute. If an instrument you need is missing from your available list, you can submit a help desk ticket to request it be added.
Log in to RTrader, go to your Trader Dashboard, click your account name, then select View Risk Parameters. This displays the full list of active products currently enabled for your account. Available instruments can vary slightly, so checking directly is more reliable than assuming.
